Raiders go unbeaten all day until a narrow 1-0 in the final

Despite a low turn out from the the league, five teams competed in a fun day long cup competition in Saigon’s district 7. The format saw each team play each other once with the top two competing in the final. Results on the day were:

Raiders 1 Bizmen 0
Mike nets a neat finish into the bottom corner from outside the box

Raiders 1 HotShots 1
A hashed clearance from a HotShots corner which Greenow met with full force and vollyed into the top corner

Raiders 1 Legends 0

Another great goal here, Daniel B launching a ball into the box from halfway where Greeve found space and looped a great header over the keeper and into the far corner.

Vincent with a typical surge through the defense, rounding the keeper and finishing, Greenow with another volley from a poor corner clearance and Nico with an ‘intentional bum deflection’.

The final was reached unbeaten and the best team on the day. However it wasn’t to be, a great chance to take the lead went begging as Soloman put his header just wide but eventually HotShots grabbed a goal and came out on top in a very close game.
