About Saigon Raiders

Founded in 1990 by local Dane Henrik Petersen, Saigon Raiders became the first international amateur football team in Ho Chi Minh City. Our mission has always been to find people who love to play soccer and have the right attitude. In the early years, we built strong connections with the local community, playing against teams from the police, immigration, customs, and other divisions, all in the national stadium of Saigon.

From our beginnings with 11 different nationalities, we have grown to 26 nationalities, competing locally, domestically, and internationally. Our tradition-rich club remains committed to being the best expat team in Saigon both on and off the pitch, fostering community and building lasting connections. This enduring spirit is why we are the longest-serving and largest club in the area, boasting over 84 members.
