Saigon Raiders Club

Mixed feelings writing this match report for Turkey of the week. That I was late, yes, that I had a few drinks the night before yes. But what a lot of people actually don’t know is how this all happened….

It was Saturday night and we were going for a few drinks at one of the new hotspots in town with Rick, Arno, Pat, a few others and myself. Beautiful ladies and models all over the place and you only got in by invitation and yes of course we were there! After a few drinks Pat, Rick and Arno decided wisely to leave, but I didn’t as one woman who was staring at me the whole night fascinated me…. I went to her after the boys left and before I knew I woke up at 11:30am in the Japanese area in district 1. The Japanese tricked me! SHIT I AM TO LATE FOR FOOTBALL! I quickly called Emma and told him the Japanese fooled me and he needed to score a hat trick today. “No problem Clem, I will” he told me.

The Saigon Raiders kicked off with a strong squad ready to go for war. First time on the grass pitch at Ton Duc Than Sports University, what was not in the best state of art yet, but finally the boys could play on grass!

With the return of Ricky van der linden oo oo oo and Mikey the boys played some good football and after 2 minutes it was already Emma who scored a nice goal for the Saigon Raiders! Pam – Saigon Raiders 1 – Japan 0. (My tactics are working) Shit, did I say that up loud… 6 minutes later it was Takeuchi Kiichiroh, who? Takeuchi Kiichiroh aahhh Takeuchi Kiichiroh! Who scored the 1-1. Raiders stepped up their game and worked hard to take the lead again. I was signalling Emma trying to remind him our strategy. And there was the golden boy again. PAM Saigon Raiders 2 – Japan 1.

This time it was Kazumichi Ikeda, who? Kazumichi Ikeda who scored the equalizer. The Japanese were as effective as they were back in 794. With only 2 shots on goal they scored 2 goals. This imperial dynasty continues to reign over Japan. In 794, a new imperial capital was established at Heian-kyō (modern Kyoto), marking the beginning of the Heian period, which lasted until 1185. The Heian period is considered a golden age of classical Japanese culture.

I was trying hard to reach Emma again… and of course he strikes again PAM – Saigon Raiders 3 – Japan 2. YES, we are winning this and we will! Fuck, no way… It’s Takuya Tokunaga, who? Takuya Tokunaga who scored a goal, which seemed to hit the post. But video referee made it clear Saigon Raiders 3 – Japan 3. The Japanese have clearly implemented the 5 S’s of Japanese efficiency into their game strategy. Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and Shitsuke. Interested to hear more about this strategy? Google it cause I’m done writing! I can’t wait to play Japan again in the second half of the season and restore back balance!

With Sporting losing their game versus the Saig0n $@INT$, Saigon Raiders are still top of the league and know what to do next game again. And that’s what they do best: WINNING! COME ON WAIDERS!
